Terms of Service

Last updated August 18, 2026

These terms govern your access to and use of ShopScout. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.

1. The service

ShopScout is a product research and market-signal platform. It provides estimated and publicly observable research signals, deterministic scoring and analysis tooling to help you decide which products to research further.

2. No guarantee of results

ShopScout does not guarantee sales, revenue, profitability, ranking or commercial success. Opportunity Scores, lifecycle stages, momentum readings, margin scenarios and any other output are research signals, not predictions and not financial advice. You are solely responsible for your sourcing, pricing, inventory and marketing decisions.

3. Nature of the data

Unless a figure is explicitly identified as verified data received from a source permitted to supply it, all figures are estimated, inferred or demonstration data. Figures labeled as demonstration or simulated data are fictional and describe no real seller, listing, customer or transaction.

Data availability depends on third-party providers. Coverage, freshness and accuracy may change without notice, and ShopScout does not warrant that any signal is complete or error-free.

4. Accounts

You must provide accurate registration information, keep your credentials secure and be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for all activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, attempt to circumvent plan limits or violate these terms.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance in US dollars on a recurring monthly basis through our payment processor. Plan entitlements and usage limits are enforced by the service. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled under our refund policy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • resell, sublicense or redistribute ShopScout data as a competing data product;
  • scrape, automate or bulk-extract the service beyond your plan entitlements;
  • attempt to bypass authentication, authorization, rate limits or plan enforcement;
  • use the service to violate the terms of any third-party platform or provider;
  • upload URLs or content intended to attack internal systems or third parties.

7. Intellectual property

ShopScout, its interface, scoring methodology and documentation remain our property. Content you create inside the platform — collections, notes, saved scenarios and competitor records — remains yours.

8. Third-party platforms

ShopScout is an independent product research platform and is not affiliated with or endorsed by TikTok.

References to any marketplace are descriptive only. Your use of any third-party platform is governed by that platform’s own terms.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShopScout is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for lost profits, lost inventory value, lost revenue or any indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Changes and termination

We may update these terms and will note the revision date above. Material changes will be communicated to account holders. You may stop using the service at any time; we may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

11. Contact
